AN ORDINACE TO AMEND PARAGRAPH 6,OF SECTION 4704 OF CHAPTER /+7
OF ORDINANCE NO.7888, BY SUBSTITUTING THE WORD "FOUR" IN PLACE OF
THE WORD "NINE" AS THEREIN CONTAINED, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the first sentence of Paragraph 6 of Section
4704 of Chapter 47 of Ordinance No.7888 be amended to read as follows:
It(6) Wall Signs. No part of any wall sign shall be located
within four (4) feet,of the grade immediately below. Wall signs shall
be constructed entirely of incombustible materials, except that wall
signs less than forty (J.0) suare feet in area may be constructed of
combustible materials provided the erection contractor sets a definite
date for the removal of such signs and assumes the responsibility for
such removal.
Wall signs shall be erected flat against the wall to which
they are attached and no V -signs shall be permitted. When projections
on`the wall face prevent such flat erection, the space between the
sign and the wall face shall be tightly sealed around the edges of
the sign with incombustible material.
Neon tubing attached directly to any wall surface shall
comply with the requirements for wall signs -"-
The only change effected by this Amendment to the original
Ordinance is the substitution .of, the word "four" in place of the
word "nine" as originally written.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
