ORDINANCE NO. 8953
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE RENTAL OF AUTOMOBILE
PARKING SPACE ON CERTAIN CITY PROPERTY; PROVIDING
FOR THE COLLECTION OF THE RENT AND FIXING THE
AMOUNT THEREOF; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Collector is authorized and directed to rent
automobile parking space on City -owned property located directly North of the
Missouri- Pacific Railroad between Main and Cumberland Streets during the hours
froze 6 :00 A. M. to 6 :0 0 P.M.
SECTION 2. That the charge for such parking rights on the above
described property shall be Five Dollars ($5. 00) per month per car, to be paid to
the City Collector's Office on the first of each month, in advance.
SECTION 3. That after the costs of developing this property for use
as automobile parking space have been recovered by the City through rental
charges for the parking spaces developed, the Mayor and Council shall budget one-
half (1 /2) of any further revenues from this source to the City Beautiful Commission
for furthering their projects within the City.
SECTION 4. That the development of this property for ayrtt mabilt
.. =parking shall include the installation of protective devices for all living trees and /or
shrubs previously planted thereon under the auspices of the City Beautiful Commis-
Ilion.
SECTION 5. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be' in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
