AN ORDINANCE RELEASING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING PARK
AVENUE FROM THE SOUTH SIDE OF 26TH STREET TO THE CENTER
OF BLOCK FIVE IN SUNSET ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND 29TH STREET FROM' PARK AVENUE TO THE
Mir 'S OF SCHILLER STREET 'AND 3.OTH STREET FROM PARK
AVENUE TO THE WEST SIDE OF LOT 10 IN BLOCK ks SUNSET
ADDITION, AND THE WEST SIDE OF LOT 1, BLOCK 5, IN SUNSET
ADDITION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, on June 17th, 1952, asking the City Council
to release, vacate, and abandon all that portion of the street
designated on the Plat of the McCarthy and Sunset Additions to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, now appearing of Record in Plat
Books 31, page 222; AB, page 247; and 76, page 435, in the Office
of Recorder of Pulaski County, beginning:
Park Avenue from the South side of 26th Street to the
center of Block 5 in Sunset Addition to the City of Little
Rock, and,
29th Street from Park Avenue to the West side of Schiller
Street, and, •
30th Street from Park Avenue to the Viest side of Lot 10
in Block 4. Sunset Addition, and the West side of Lot 1,
Block 5 in Sunset Addition, be abandoned and the streets
closed.
VHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the council
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the
streets or portions thereof, hereinbefore described, have heretofore
been dedicated to the public use as a street herein described; has
not been actually used by the public generally for a period of at
least five years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all the
owners of the property abutting upon the portion of the street to
be vacated have filed with the council their written consent to such

abandonment; and that public interest and welfare will not be
adversely affected by the abandonment of such streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all itv rights,, together with the
rights of the public generally, in and to the following streets
designated as follows:
Park Avenue from the South side of 26th street to the
Center of Block 5 in Sunset Addition to the City of
Little Rock, and,
29th Street from Park Avenue to the West Bide of Schiller
Street, and,
30th Street from Park Avenue to the West side of-Lot 10
in Block 4, Sunset Addition, and the Vilest side of Lot 1,
Block 5 in Sunset Addition
be and they are hereby abandoned, vacated and released.
SECTION 2. A Copy of this ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County and recorded in the deed records of said County.
SECTION 3. The determination, findings and ordinance here-
in passed shall be conclusive unless attacked by bringing suit within
thirty days hereafter, from the passage date of this ordinance.
SECTION. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
