HomeMy WebLinkAbout9190'# - I ORDINANCE NO. 9190 AN ORDINANCE CONFIRMING AND APPROVING THE ACTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS IN EXCHANGING CERTAIN AUTOMOBILES AND A TRUCK FOR VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. Whereas, an offer has been made to the City of Little Rock, for the exchanging, without cost, to the City of Little Rock, various automotive equipment, whereby the City is in a position to obtain new equipment for old; and Whereas, it is deemed to be for the best interest of the City to make said exchange on various of its equipment; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; Section 1. The action of the Board of Public Affairs of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on April 17, 1953, in contracting for the exchange of the following equipment for 1953 Chevrolet Automobiles and truck, 108 horse power, said exchange to be standard model for standard, de -luxe for de -luxe, coupe for coupe, sedan for sedan, tudor for tudor, and truck for truck, to -wit: Milk & Dairy 1952 Chevrolet Coupe Milk & Dairy 1952 Chevrolet Coupe Milk & Dairy 1953 Ford 6 Coupe Food & Meat 1953 Chevrolet Tudor Food & Meat 1953 Ford 6 Coupe Electric 1952 Chevrolet Tudor Police 1952 Ford 6 Tudor Police 1952 Ford 6.Tudor Police 1952 Ford Tudor Police 1952 Chevrolet Tudor Police 1952 Ford 6 Tudor Police 1952 Ford 6 Tudor Detective 1952 Ford 6 Tudor Detective 1953 Chevrolet Tudor Detective 1953 Chevrolet Tudor Fire 1953 Ford 8 Sedan Fire 1953 Ford 8 Coupe Fire 1953 Ford 8 Coupe Fire 1952 International Truck; is hereby ratified, Confirmed and in all respects approved. Section 2. Whereas, the City of Little Rock is in immediate need of supplying new equipment for these various departments for the operations thereof, and 1 4 VAI -2- Whereas, the acquisition of said equipment is immediately necessary for the benefit of peace, health and safety of the citizens of Little Rock an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passaje and approval.
