AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON SANTA FE AVENUE
RUNNING EAST AND WEST BETWEEN HARRISON AND TYLER
STREETS IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the 30th day of March, 1953,
asking the City Council to vacate and abandon Santa Fe Avenue running
East and West between Harrison and Tyler Streets in the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, and being bounded on the North by Lots Eight and Nine
in Block Eleven, C. 0. Brack Addition, and on the South by a parcel
of land
lying in the
Northeast quarter
of the Northwest quarter
of
Section
18, Township
1 North, Range 12
West, formerly used as a
rail-
road right -of -way by Little Rock- Maumelle and Western Railroad and
Missouri Pacific Railroad; and,
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law the Council
has, at the time and place mentioned in said notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the
street, hereinabove described, has heretofore been dedicated to the
public use, and has not been used by the public generally for a period
of at least five years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that the
owner of all the property abutting upon the portion of the street to
be vacated has filed with the Council his written consent to such
abandonment; and that the public interest and welfare will not be ad-
versely affected by the abandonment of such portion of the said street;
NOW s THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to th4t portion of Santa Fe Avenue running
East and West between Harrison and Tyler Streets and being bounded on
the North by Lots 8 and 9 in Block 11, C. 0. Brack Addition to the
City of Little Rock and on the South by a parcel of land lying in the

North, Range 12 West, in
the City of
Little Rock,
Pulaski County,
Arkansas, formerly used
as railroad
right -of -way
by Little Rock-
Maumelle and Western Railroad and Missouri-Pacific Railroad, and being
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Block 12 of C. 0. Brack's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, thence north 75 feet more or less
to a point 20 feet south of southeast corner of Block 11 of said addi-
tion and on south line of Santa Fe Avenue as shown on plat of said
addition, thence in a northwesterly direction parallel to and 20 feet
distant from south line of said Block 11 and following south line of
said Santa Fe Avenue to a point 20 feet south of southwest corner of
said Block 11, thence south 75 feet more or less to northwest corner
of Block 12 of said addition, thence southeaster17 along north line
of said Block 122 to point of beginning;
SECTION 2, Akcopy of this ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
