AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE ACTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC
AFFAIRS IN ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE COMMUNITY CENTER BUILDING AT 16th AND CHESTER.
STREETS, BEING BLOCK 272.9 ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
WITH THE FOLLOWING CONTRACTORS:- P. L. RICHARDSON COMPANY,
GENERAL CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE FORTY -NINE THOUSAND,
THREE HUNDRED AND SIXTY -SIX DOLLARS (4149,366.00); R. L.
0 ' BRYANT COMPANY, F OR MECHAX CAL CONSTRUCTION IN THE
AMOUNT OF FORTY THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY -ONE DOLLARS
040,571.00); AND DAVID RAY ELECTRIC COMPANY, INC., FOR
ELECTRICAL WORK IH.THE AMOUNT OF NINE THOUSAND-FIVE HUNDRED
AND THREE DOLLARS AND SEVENTY -SIX CENTS (49,503.76); AND
AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC .AFFAIRS TO ENTER INTO ANY
OTHER CONTRACTS FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE GROUNDS OF THE
COMMUNITY CENTER, SUCH AS LANDSCAPING, RECREATION FACILITIES
AND FURNISHINGS FOR THE BUILDINGS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the action of the Board of Public Affairs
in entering into contracts for the construction of a Community Center
Building at 16th and Chester Streets, being Block No. 272, ORIGINAL
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, with the following contractors is hereby
ratified : - P. L. Richardson Company, general contract in the amount
of One Forty-Nine-Thousand,, Three Hundred Sixty -Six Dollars
0149066.00); R. L. OtBryant Company, for mechanical construction
in the amount of Forty Thousand Five Hundred Seventy -One Dollars
($40,571.00); and David Ray Electric Company, Inc., for electrical
work in the amount of Nine Thousand Five Hundred and Three Dollars
and Seventy -Six Cents 09,503.76)•
SECTION 2. That the Board of Public Affairs is hereby
authorized and requested to enter into any other contracts for the
completion of the grounds of the above - described Community Center,
such as landscaping of grounds, recreation facilities and furnish-
ings for the buildings as may be necessary.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
