AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON AND VACATE PORTIONS OF EAST 25TH STREET IN BRAGG'S
SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
Whereas, A petition was filed with the City,Qouncil of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas on the 27th day of April 1953, asking
the City Council to vacate and abandon all of the hereinafter described
portions of East 25th Street, designated on the plat of Bragg's Second
Addition to the City of Little Rock, now appearing of.record in Plat Book 20
Page 44, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
'r)hereas, after due notice as required by law, the Council has,
at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring
to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the portions of the
,have
street hereinbefore mentioned Ydn heretofore been dedicated to the public
have
use as a street herein described but not actuAl—ly been used by the public
for a period of at least five years prior to the filing of the petition;
that all the owners of the property abutting upon the portions of the street
to be vacated have filed with the Council their written consent to such aban-
donment; and that the public interest and welfare will not be adversely
affected by the abandonment of such street.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock hereby releases, vacates, and
abandons all its rights together wit# the rights of the public generally,
except the rights and needs of public utilities to ingress and egress to
maintain and ude present utility lines located therein and thereon, in and
to the streets designated as follows:
That portion of East 25th Street between the East
line of Bragg Street and the West line of fiance
Street, and.lying between Block 37 on the North
and Block 41 on the South, in Bragg's Second Addi--
tion to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and that
portion of East 25th Street, extending Westwardly
a distance of 140 feet from the West line of McAlmont
Street and lying between Lot 7, Block 38 on the North
and Lot 12, Block 40 on the South, all in Bragg's
Second Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance duly certified by the City
Clerk shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of the County and re-
corded in the deed records of the County.

SECTi6N 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
