HomeMy WebLinkAbout9228ORDINANCE NO. 9228 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR REPLACEMENT OF GRAVEL AND PAVEMENT ON STREETS OR ALLEYS CAUSED BY EXCAVATING., REPEALING ORDINANCES NO. 4013 AND 8640 IN THEIR ENTIRETY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinances No. 4013 and 8640 are hereby repealed in their entirety. SECTION 2. That the minimum fees to be charged for the replacement of gravel or pavement on streets or alleys caused by cutting or excavating be and the same are hereby fixed as follows:- yard; One single course of asphalt - Six Dollars ($6.00) per sq are yard; One concrete course of asphalt - Eight Dollars($8.00) per square Two - course job - Nine Dollars ($9.00) per square yard; I� One gravel cut job - Twenty -Five Cents (25�) per square yard. SECTION 3. That it shall be.unlawful for anyone to c t asphalt pavement, concrete pavement or combination pavement or gravel job without reporting such cuts to the City Engineer and paying the fees necessary for resurfacing the face of the street. That the penalty for the first violation shall be Twenty -Five Dollars ($25.00). That for any additional violations the penalty shall be One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each violation. SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and since it is necessary to the peace, safety and health of the citizens of Little Rock that surfaces of streets have been cut shall be properly and effectively replaced, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
