AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE A LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND GUY.
A. THOMPSON, TRUSTEE OF THE MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD
COMPANY, DEBTOR, LEASING CERTAIN PROPERTIES AT THE FOOT
OF WEST MARKHAM AND VICTORY STREETS TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
__SECTION 1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to-enter into and execute a lease on behalf of the City '
of Little Rock with Cruy A. Thompson, Trustee, of the Missouri Pacific
Railroad Company, Debtor, whereby the property described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the northeasterly
line of West Markham Street, extended, and the northwesterly
line of Victory Street measure northeastwardly along said
northwesterly line of Victory Street, 32 feet to a point on
curb of aforementioned parking area; thence measure along
said curb, describing a curve with radius of 60 feet,
southwestwardly 104.7 feet; thence, measure northwestwardly
along said curb line 282 feet; thence, continuing along
curb line describing curve to left with radius of 521.07
feet measure 372.7 feet; thence, along curb line, parallel
to face of Union Station, measure southwestwardly 120
feet; thence, along curb line describing curve to left
with radius of 40-feet measure 69.8 feet; thence, along
ourbs line describing A curve to left with radius ,of 78
feet measure 109.0 feet; thence, measure southwestwardly -' ` u_,___" — "

ing curve to left with radius of 1432.7 feet measure 120
feet; thence, measure southwestwardly along curb line 400
feet; thence, along curb line describing curve to right
with radius of 21 feet measure 29.4 feet to point on north-
westerly line of Victory Street; thence, measure north
eastwardly, along said northwesterly line of Victory Street
175 feet to point of beginning, containing 1441.75 square
feet, more or less, such area to constitute the premises
with exception of 200 square feet of property located
within above limits and described one'a b_;: Exhibit "A"
as lawn; area of premises being 1241.75 square feet, more
or less.

SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed, and since it is necessary for the peace
and safety of the citizens of Little Rock that said lease be executed
as soon as possible so that the property leased may be policed by

officials of the City of Little Rock, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
