HomeMy WebLinkAbout9260ORDINANCE N0. 9260 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF CONFEDERATE BOULEVARD AND A PORTION OF EAST 32nd STREET, ALL IN WATKINS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 11th day of June, 1953, asking the City Council to vacate and abandon a portion of Confederate Boulevard and a portion of East 32nd Street in Watkins Addition to the City of Little Rock, the original plat having been filed for record with the Circuit Clerk and Ex- Officio Recorder for Pulaski County, Arkansas, on March 9, 1872, in Mort- gage Record Book AB1, Page 84. NOV`I) THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to that portion of Confederate Boulevard and East 32nd Streets as follows : - Confederate Boulevard from a point beginning 238.4 feet South of the North line of Lot 3, Block 10, Watkins Addition, South to a point even with the South line of Blocks 14 and 15, Watkins Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; Also, East 32nd Street from a point beginning with the East line of Blocks 11 and 14, Watkins Addition, running thence East to the East line of Blocks 10 and 15, Watkins Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, except that portion of said East 32nd Street now being used as part of the right of way of U. S. Highway 65. Section 2. A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of the County and recorded in the deed records of the County.
