HomeMy WebLinkAbout9331ORDINANCE NO. 9331 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING EIGHTY -SIX DOLLARS AND TWENTY -FIVE CENTS FOR PAYMENT TO THE RIVERSIDE INSURANCE COMPANY AS PROCEEDS REALIZED THROUGH SALE OF A STOLEN CAR INSURED BY SAID COMPANY WHICH WAS SOLD BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE PROCEEDS PAID INTO THE CITY GENERAL FUND, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WNERFAS ) a 1947 half -ton Ford pick -up truck was stolen and abandoned at 26th and Izard Stregt$; ajkd -Drive Min Service 'Company WHEREAS it was picked up by y on July 30, 1952; and WHEREAS isaid car was not reported to the Little Rock Police Department as having been stolen; and WHEREAS,it was sold at public auction on February 10, 1953, at a sum of Eighty -Six Dollars and Twenty -Five Cents ($86.25) over and above storage and towing charges; and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has approved payment of the sum of $06.25 to the Riverside Insurance Company: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That the sum of Eighty -Six Dollars and Twenty -Five Cents ($86.25) is hereby appropriated to pay the Riverside Insurance Company for money realized from the sale of the 1947 half -ton Ford pick -up truck mentioned above. SECTION 2. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby directed to issue the City's warrant in the sum of $86.25 to said Riverside Insurance Company. SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
