AN ORDINANCE VACATING ALLEY AND UTILITY EASEM TS BETWEEN
LOTS 19 2, 3, 4 AND 5s IN BLACK 7s ROOT'S AND COY'S ADDI-
TION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, PROVIDING FOR A CERTIFIED
COPY OF THIS ORDINANCE BEING PIACED OF RECORD IN THE
RECORDER'S OFFICE OF PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on September 9, 1953s asking
the City Council to vacate and abandon an alley between Lots 1, 2,
3s 4 and 5 in Block 7, ROOT'S AND C OY' S ADDITION to the City of
Little Rock, which alley separates Lots 1 and 2 from Lots 3, 4 and
5 from the west side of Jones Street to the Missouri - Pacific right-
of -way, and
WHEREAS after due notice as required by laws the Council
has at the time and place mentioned in said notice heard all
persona desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that.the strip of land and alley herein -above described has never
been used by the public and is not subject to public use and that
Gathright Van and Storage Company is the owner of all lands
abutting on said alley to be vacated and have filed with the
Council said petition and that the public interests and welfare
will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of said alley
for public use:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City hereby releases, vacates and abandons
all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally,
in and to a strip of land being dedicated as an alley between the
west side of Jones Street and the Missouri- Pacific right -of -way
separating Lots 1 and 2 from Lots 3, 4 and 5 of Block 7, ROOT'S AND
COY'S ADDITION to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerks shall be filed in the office of the Deed Records

of Pulaski County, Arkansas
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
