AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF
PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO ADVERTISE, TAKE BIDS FOR, AND PUR-
CHASE A 12 TON TRUCK WITH A METRO -TYPE WALK -IN BID
FOR USE OF THE RESCUE UNIT OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED
$222002 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, The Young Business Men's Association of the City
of Little Rock has raised the sum of $2,200, $400 of which was
contributed by the City of Little Rock, for the purchase of a
12 Ton Truck with a Metro -Type Walk -In Bed for the use of the
Rescue Unit of the Fire Department of the City of Little Rock,
and
WHEREAS, said sum of $2,200 will be deposited in the
General Fund of the City of Little Rock for the purchase
thereof;
-NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Board of public Affairs is ordered
and directed to advertise, take bids for, and purchase a
12 Ton Truck with a Metro -Type Walk-In Bed for use by the
Rescue Unit of the Fire Department of the City of Little Rock.
That the cost of the said Truck shall not exceed the sum of
$2,200.
SECTION 2. That the $2,200 to be deposited by The Young
Business Men's Association of the City of Little Rock in the
General Fund of the City of Little Rock shall be used to
finance. this purchase.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage
and approval.
