AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 8627, AS AHMS ORDINANCE
NO. 5420, CHANGING THE PRESCRIBED TIME FOR PUBLIC NOTICE FROM FIFTEEN (15)
DAYS TO TEN (10) DAYS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE RACK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 8627, as amends Ordinance
No. 51,20, as amended, of the or of the City of Little Rock is
hereby amended to read as follows: The City Council of the City of
Little Rock may from time to time, on its own motion or on petition,
after a public hearing of which at least ten (10) days notice has been
given in an official newspaper, amend, supplement or change, modify or
repeal the boundries or regulations herein or subsequently established,
after submitting same to the City Planning Commission for its recommenda-
tions and report, except that when an application for the redistricting
of a specific parcel or parcels of land has been denied reapplication
shall not be made for a period of six months unless and until the owner
or owners file an affidavit, in the office of the Planning Commission
setting forth that conditions have changed materially respecting that
particular parcel or parcels of land, satisfactory to the Planning
Commission.
SECTION 2. That the fifteen (15) days notice required by Ordinance
No. 51,20, as amended, works an undue hardship on the processing of any
amendment thereto, and since this process relates to the public health,
safety and general welfare an: emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its
passage.
