AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF
PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO ADVERTISE, TAKE BIDS FOR, AND PUR-
CHASE 5 NEW AUTOMOBILES.FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPART-
MT OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AT A SUM NOT TO EXCEED
$6,500 PLUS TRADE -IN EQUIPMENT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Public Affairs is hereby
authorized and requested to advertise, take bids for, and pur-
chase 5 New Automobiles for use by the Police Department of
the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. That the purchase price of said Automobiles
shall not exceed the sum of Six Thousand Five Hundred ($6,500.00)
Dollars plus trade -in of 4 used automobiles. The following
equipment will be used as trade -ins:
2 1951 Chevrolet Tudor Sedans
1948 Chevrolet Coupe
1 - 1940 Ford Tudor Sedan
SECTION 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its pass-
age and approval.
