AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEYS OFFICE TO
BRING CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST THE SOU IH HALF
OF LOT 12, BLOCK 2, SOUTH HALF OF LOT 13, BLOCK 1,
SOUTH HALF OF LOT 12, BLOCK 1, ALL IN STRONG AND WATERS
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO BE
USED BY THE CITY FOR WIDENING WEST MARKHAM STREET, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
"KA-NSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Attorney's office is hereby directed
to bring proceedings for the condemnation of the South Half of
Lot 12, Block 2, South Half of Lot 13, Block 1, South Half of
Lot 12, Block 1, Strong and Waters Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas. This property is described as follows:
The South Half of Lot 12, Block 2, Strong and Waters
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
The South Half of Lot 13, Block 10 Strong and Waters
,addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
The South Half of Lot 12, Block 1, Strong and Waters
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
The above property is necessary for the widening of West
Markham Street.
SECTION 2. Thp City Attorney's office is further directed
to secure a court order allowing the City to take immediate
possession of the aforesaid property upon its posting bond in
an amount to be determined by the Court. The City Attorney's
office is further authorized to have posted on behalf of the
City a bond in the amount determined by the Court pending deter-
mination of the condemnation proceedings.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
fliet herewith are hereby repealed and, it being necessary for
the safety of the citizens of Little Rock, Arkansas that West
Markham Street be widened to reduce traffic hazards, an emer-
gency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be

in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and
approval.
