An un.JINANCE TO AMEND SECTION I OF ORDINANCE N0. 9006
TO CLARIFY THE POSITION OF. THOSE EMPIA)ITES HIRED AS
SPECIAL, SEASONAL OR TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That in order to clarify the position of those employees
hired as special, seasonal or temporary employees, Section I of Ordinance
No. 9006 is hereby amended to read as follows:
CLASSES OF EMPLOYMENT INCLUDED
Subject to the limitations contained in this ordinance, there
is hereby created a four step compensation plan which shall be
applied to the monthly employments of the City as listed herein,
provided that those who may hereafter be employed by the Civil
Service Commission as special, seasonal or temporary employees
shall receive only the minim= rate of pay as shown for their
respective position of employment until certified by the Com-
mission for permanent employment, at which time they shall
commence serving under the compensation range as established
herein.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective as of January 1, 1954,
and all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
amended to conform to the provisions of this ordinance.
