AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 8164, SECTION 3,
PARAGRAPH 2, TO EXTEND THE PENAIWY DATE FOR PURCHAS-
ING CITY AUTOMOBILE LICENSES FROM MAY 20 TO MAY 3 1,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 8164, Section 3, paragraph
2, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"When any owner or operator of any motor vehicle
subject to the payment of said license shall fail to
pay the same by May 31 of each year, then for each
ten days, or fractional part of ten days after the
31st day of May of each year, there shall be added
to said tax the sum of $1.00 as penalty. The payment
of such penalty shall be enforced in the same manner
as the payment of said license fee, provided that the
total amount of any penalty shall never exceed the
original amount of the license."
SECTION 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect imaediately upon its passage
and approval.
