ORDINANCE NO. 9488
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF
YOUNGWOOD ROAD.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on February 15, 1954, asking the
City Council to vacate and abandon all that portion of Youngwood Road
designated on the plat of Kingwood Place, an Addition to the City of
Little Rock, now appearing of record in Plat Book 4, page 254, in the
office of the Circuit Clerk and ex officio Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council has,
at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring
to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the portion of
Youngwood Road hereinafter described has heretofore been dedicated to
the public use as a street but has never been actually used by the public
as a street or alley; that all the owners of the property abutting upon
the portion of Youngwood Road to be vacated have filed with the Council
their written consent to such abandonment; and that public interest and
welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such portion
of Youngwood Road; now, therefore,
Arkansas:
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Little Rock,
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to that portion of Youngwood Road described as
f ollows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 464, Kingwood
Place, an Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas; thence 194.6 feet in a southeasterly
direction along the west lines of Lots 464 and 463 (which
is the east line of Youngwood Road as shown on rrecorded
plat) to the southwest corner of Lot 463, Kingwood Place;
thence south, 540 14' west, 50 feet to a point; thence
northwesterly to a point which is 96.2 feet westerly from
the southeast corner of Lot 463 and which is on a line
which is the projection westerly of the south line of
Lot 251, Kingwood Place; thence northwesterly 88.3 feet
to a point which is on the projection westerly of the
north line of Lot 251, Kingwood Place, and which is 115.1
feet westerly therefrom; thence northerly to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Pulaski County Recorder
and recorded in the deed records of Pulaski County.
SECTION 3► This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
