HomeMy WebLinkAbout9491ORDINANCE NO. 91191, AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE SEVERAL BLOCKS, LOTS AND PARCELS OF LAND WITHIN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 597 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. WHEREAS, more than two - thirds in value of the property holders owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in Street Improvement District No. 597 organized for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering and paving with asphaltic concrete and combination concrete curbs and gutters in Oak Street from the South property line of West Markham Street to the North property line of Plateau Street, have petitioned the Council of the City of Little Rock for the construction of said improvement, and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property of said district ac- cording to the benefits received; and WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot and parcel of real property situated in said district equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is Seven Thousand Dollars ($7,000.00): NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That said several blocks, lots and parcels of real property in said district be assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk, and that 8.333 per - centum of the assessment of each of said blocks, lots and par- cels shall be collected by the County Collector on or before the 21st day of June, 1954, and 8.333 percentum of the assess- ment shall be collected with the first installment of general taxes becoming due more than five (5) months thereafter and annually thereafter with the first installment of general taxes until the whole of said local assessment shall be paid. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and ef- fect from and after its passage. PASSED: ATTEST: I. y er March 8, 1954• APPROVED: Mayor
