AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 7023 BY REPEAL-
ING FROM SAID ORDINANCE THE SPECIFICATIONS AND
REQUIREMENTS PROVIDING FOR A PREMIUM QUALITY GRADE
"A" PASTEURIZED MILK, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY T E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That portion of Section 7 of Ordinance No.
7023 that establishes the specifications and requirements for
the classifications of premium Quality Grade "A" pasteurized
Milk is hereby repealed, and the classification of Premium
Quality Grade "A" Pasteurized Milk is hereafter nonexistent.
SECTION 2. Because of the high quality of Grade "A"
pasteurized Milk now available, the difference in quality be-
tween the two classifications of pasteurized milk is of no
public health significance, and, therefore, the extra time,
effort, and cost to enforce the requirements of two classifi-
cations of pasteurized milk cannot be justified. Therefore,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
