AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 16 OF ORDINANCE NO. 9006 BY ESTAB-
LISHING A DUNBAR RECREATION CENTER DIVISION OF THE PARKS AND
RECREATION DEPARTKENT, CREATING THE POSITIONS OF MANAGER, RECEP-
TIONIST AND JANITOR, ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES THEREOF, AND FOR
ETHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Section 16 of Ordinance No. 9006 be amended to establish
a Dunbar Recreation Center Division of the Parks and Recreation Department and
there are hereby created the positions of manager, Receptionist and Janitor,
who shall be paid as per Ordinances Nos. 9006 and 9436, and, who shall operate
said Dunbar Recreation Center under the direction of the Superintbndent of Parks,
and Recreation as provided for in Ordinance No. 6975•
SECTION 2. Section 16 of Ordinance No. 9006 is hereby amended by adding
the following:

SECTION 3. Said employees are to be selected by the Civil Service
Commission in the manner as provided by law.
SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby amended to conform with the provisions of this ordinance, and as the
operation of the Dunbar Recreation Center will assist in combating juvenile
delinquency and unless the provisions of this ordinance are put into effect
immediately, the peace, health and safety of the Citizens of the City of Little
Rock will be adversely affected; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
