HomeMy WebLinkAbout9540a � ORDINANCE NO. 9540 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION OF LONGFELLOW PLACE AS A PJBLIC STREET. WHEREAS, the owners of all of the property occupied by Long- fellow Place as hereinaftCr described have joined in a deed dedicating said Longfellow Place as a street for public use; and WHEREAS, said street is paved with an acceptable pavement and has a curb and gutter, and it is a street that will be of service to the public; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: SECTION 1. That the City Council does find that the street designated as Longfellow Place and hereinafter described has been dedicated to public use by the owners of the land on which the street lies, and that said street leads to a new addition to be known as Longfellow Circle and it is necessary that said use be available to the owners of the property in Longfellow Circle. SECTION 2. That the dedication of Longfellow Place be and the same is hereby accepted, and said street is hereby declared to be a public street in the City of Little Rock, under the care and control of the City of Little Rock, and shall be known as Longfellow Place and described as follows: Starting at the Southeast corner of the NW* of the SE *, Section 30, Township 2 North, Range 12 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas; thence North along the East line of said NW* SEJ a distance of 316 feet; thence West 300 feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner of the pavement on the street being dedicated by these presents; thence continuing West across said pavement, the line across said pave- ment being the beginning of the street, and the point of beginning for this dedica- tion; thence North to the end of the present pavement, a distance of 400 feet, more or less.
