AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND VACATING WEST 28TH STREET
BETWEEN VIRGINIA STREET AND GARFIELD STREET IN THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council'of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 3rd day of May, 195+, asking
the City Council to vacate and abandon West 28th Street between
Virginia Street and Garfield Street in the City of Little Rock.
WHEREAS, after due notice, as required by law, the Council has,
at the time and place mentioned in the Notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the
said part of West 28th Street between Virginia Street and Garfield
Street has heretofore been dedicated to the public use; that said
dedication was made more than five years ago; that the same has
not actually been used by the public generally for a period of at
least five years prior to the filing of this petition for its
abandonment; that petitioner herein is the only owner of property
abutting on said part of West 28th Street to be abandoned and
vacated and has by filing of its petition herein given written
consent required by law to such abandonment and vacation; and that
the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by
the abandonment and vacation of said portion of West 28th Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, does hereby
release, vacate and abandon all its rights, together with the righ
of the public generally, in and to:
A11 that part of West 28th Street between Virginia. Street
and Garfield Street in the City of Little Rock
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder in and
for Pulaski County, Arkansas, and recorded in the deed records of
said County.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
