AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN ALLEY RUNNING EAST AND WEST
THROUGH BLOCK 14, SPRINGDALE ADDITION TO TIIE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, DEDICATED BY PLAT DATED SEP-
TEMBER 3 , 1912, OF RECORD AT PAGE 191 OF PLAT BOOK 1
IN THE PULASKI COUNTY RECORDER1S OFFICE, PROVIDING
FOR A CERTIFIED COPY OF THIS ORDINANCE BEING PLACED
ON RECORD IN SAID RECORDERIS OFFICE, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, dated May 24, 1954, ask-
ing the City Council to vacate and abandon an alley running
East and West through Block 14, SPRINGDALE ADDITION to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, by Paul E. Talley, Elbert Warren,
Manie Schuman, Raymond H. McMinn, and J. E. Bowman, Jr., owners
of the property abutting said alley on the North and South;
that said alley was dedicated as an alley as shown in Plat Book
1 at page 191 of the Plat Records in the Pulaski County Record-
er t s office; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council
has, at the time and place mentioned in said notice, heard all
persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the alley hereinabove described has heretofore been dedi-
cated to the public as an alley; that said alley so dedicated
has not been used by the public within the last seven years;
that Paul E. Talley, Elbert Warren, Manie Schuman, Raymond H.
McMinn, and J. E. Bowman, Jr.�are the owners of the property
abutting upon that portion of said alley to be vacated, and
have filed their written consent to such an abandonment; and
that the public interest and welfare will not be adversely af-
fected by the abandonment of said alley for public use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby re-
leases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the
rights of the public generally, in and to the following described
alley heretofore dedicated for use as an alley as shown by a plat,

dated September 3, 1912, and recorded in Plat Book 1 at page
191 of plat Records of Pulaski County, Arkansas:
An Alley running East and West through Block 14,
SPRINGDALE ADDITION to the City of Little Rock, Ark-
ansas.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and ap-
proval.
