AN ORDINANCE ORDERING THE REMOVAL AND RAZING OF STRUC-
TURES LOCATED BETWEEN 17TH AND 18TH AND SCOTT AND MAIN
STREETS, DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO TAKE SUCH
ACTION AS MAY BE NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THE RESULTS
DESIRED BY THIS ORDINANCE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the owners of property located between
17th and 18th and Scott and Main Streets are hereby ordered
and directed to remove and raze the buildings upon said prop-
erty ninety (90) days from the effective date of this ordinance.
SECTION 2. That the City Attorney is hereby directed to
institute such legal proceedings against such persons as may
be necessary in order to enforce the provisions of this
ordinance and to remedy the dangerous and unsightly conditions
which exist as a result of these structures, which are hereby
condemned as a health hazard, fire hazard, and a public nuisance.
SECTION 3. Upon the failure of the owners of said property
to raze and remove.same within a period of ninety (90) days
after the effective date of this ordinance, said owners shall,
upon conviction of a violation of this ordinance, be fined in
a sum of not less than �OQ.OD, and each day of violation hereof
shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 4. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and .approva1.
