- AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEYIS OFFICE TO
BRING CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST PART OF LOT 9,
BLACK 297, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, PULASKI
COUNTY, ARKANSAS TO BE USED BY THE CITY FOR CONSTRUC-
TION OF THE RIVER FRONT DRIVE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Attorney's office is hereby di-
rected to bring proceedings for the condemnation of Part of
Lot 9, Block 297, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, described as: Beginning at a point on the North line
of said Lot 91 23.01 West of the Northeast corner; thence East
23.01; thence South along the East line of said Lot 9, a distance
of 28.01; thence in a Northwesterly direction to point of begin-
ning . The above property is necessary
for the construction of the River Front Drive.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney's office is further directed
to secure a court order allowing the City to take incmediate
possession of the aforesaid property upon its posting bond in
an amount to be determined by the Court. The City Attorneyls
Office is further authorized to have posted on behalf of the
City a bond in the amount determined by the Court pending de-
termination of the condemnation proceedings.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and
approval.
