ORDINANCE NO. 9652
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING ASSESSMENT IN SEWER IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 127 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, more than two - thirds (2 /3rds) in value of the
property owners adjoining the locality to be affected and situated
within Sewer Improvement District No. 127, organized for the purpose
of making local improvements therein by building a sanitary sewer
system therein, have petitioned the City Council of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, for construction of said improvement and that
the cost thereof be assessed upon the real property of said District
according to the benefits received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block,
lot and parcel of real property situated in said District equals or
exceeds the local assessment thereon; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is Nine
Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy Five Dollars, ($9,875.00); NOW,
THEREFOR E ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the said several blocks, lots and parcels
of real property in said District be assessed according to the assess-
ment list for said Improvement District as the sane now remainag in
the office of the City Clerk and that 8 per centum of the assessment
on each of said blocks, lots or parcels of real property shall be col -
lected by the County Collector of Pulaski County with the first in-
stallment of general taxes becoming due in the year 1955 and annually
thereafter 8 per eentum of said assessment shall be collected with
the first installment of general taxes until the whole of said local
assessment shall be paid.
