ORDINANCE NO. 9659
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE DISCARDING OF ICE BOXES,
ETC. WITH CAPACITY OF 12 CUBIC FEET OR MORE WITHOUT
REMOVING ALL DOORS THEREFROM; DECLARING VIOLATION
THEREOF TO BE A MISDEMEANOR; PROVIDING PUNISHMENT
THEREFOR, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm,
or corporation to discard an ice box, refrigerator, chest, clos-
et, furniture or other container, having a compartment with a
capacity of 12 cubic feet or more and having a door or lid which
locks or fastens automatically when closed and is not easily
opened from the inside, on City dumps, vacant lots, stores, or
other places where such container might attract children at
play without removing all doors and lids therefrom.
SECTION 2. That any person, firm, or corporation violat-
ing any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of
a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in a sum not
less than Two Hundred Fifty ($250.00) Dollars nor more than
Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
