HomeMy WebLinkAbout9664r v ORDINANCE NO. 9661L AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $3,000.00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF GINNOCHIO, CROMWELL & ASSOCIATES IN PREPARING A PRELIMINARY ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SURVEY OF THE COST OF REMOVING AND RELOCATING THE PULASKI COUNTY JAIL TO CLEAR THE RIGHT -OF -WAY FOR THE RIVER FRONT DRIVE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, it is necessary that the Pulaski County Jail be removed from its present location in order that the River Front Drive may be constructed; and WHEREAS, R. A. Campbell, County Judge of Pulaski County, has employed Ginnochio, Cromwell & Associates, Architects, to prepare a preliminary survey of the cost of removing and relo- cating the Pulaski County Jail, conditioned upon the City of Little Rock bearing the expense of such preliminary survey; and WHEREAS, the Arkansas State Highway Department has approved the securing of a preliminary architectural and engineering sur- vey of the cost of removing and relocating the Pulaski County Jail to clear the right -of -way for the River Front Drive; and WHEREAS, the United States Bureau of Public Roads will, when the complete right -of -way has been obtained, bear one -half () of the cost of such architectural and engineering survey: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That the sum of Three Thousand ($3,000.00) Dollars is hereby appropriated to defray the expenses of Ginnochio, Cromwell & Associates, Architects, to prepare a pre- liminary architectural and engineering survey of the cost of removing and relocating the Pulaski County Jail. SECTION 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are instructed to issue the City's warrant to said Ginnochio, Cromwell & Asso- ciates, Architects, upon presentation to the City Clerk of a signed copy of the contract entered into between them and the County Judge of Pulaski County, Arkansas. SECTION 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance C- % P -2•• shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
