AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
MM UTE A LEASE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCS
WITH JOHN P. BAIRD, DOING BUSINESS AS LITTLE ROCK
ADVERTISING AND " P(S TING COMPANY, FOR A RAIIR OAD SPUR
RIGHT - CIF -W ACROSS THE LOVER END OF BROAIIKAY STREET,
REPEALING ORDINANCE NQ.5466 IN ITS ENTIFETY, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT CRDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIT TIE ROCK,
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute a lease on behalf of the City of Little Rook
with John P. Baird, doing business as Little Rock Advertising and Posting
company, for a period of twenty -f ive (25) years, beginning August 1, 1954
and terminating August 1, 1979, for a railroad spur right- of-way across
the lower end of Broadway Street under the Broadway Bridge, between Garland r
Avenue and theArkansas River.
SECTION 2.. That the consideration for the execution of this lease

by the City of Little Rook shall be an annual payment of One (1.00) Dollar,
and an agreement allowing said spur track to be used by the City cf Little
Rook for the purpose df loading and unloading consigned freight.
SECTION` g. That Ordimnoe No,50,Gis hereby repealed in its entirety,
and all other ordinances or parts of ord nances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full, force and effect imme-
diately upon its passage and approval.
