ORDINANCE NO. 9686.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND REQUESTING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO SIGN
AND ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT COVERING THE INSTALLA-
TION OF MASTER FIRE ALARM BOXES BY A PRIVATE
ORGANIZATION OR COMPANY WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and requested to sign and enter into an Agreement
covering the installation of Master Fire Alarm Boxes by a
private organization or company within the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. That the form of such Agreement shall be as
follows :

This Agreement entered into this day of ,
19___�, by and between the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, party of
the first part, and ,
party of the second part.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas is installing a
Fire Alarm'Systemyfor the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the party of the second part is desirous of con-
netting such Fire Alarm System directly to the plant of the party
of the second part:
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants,
promises and agreements herein contained, the said parties hereby
covenant, promise and agree with each other as follows:
I. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas agrees to permit the
party of the second part to connect their plant with the Fire
Alarm System of said City, provided:
A. No Master Fire Alarm Box Equipment shall be con-
netted to the City of Little Rock Fire Alarm System without
the approval of the Fire Chief. It shall be his responsi-

bility to designate the location of all Master Fire Alarm
Boxes.
B. The Fire Chief must approve the specifications of
all Master Fire Alarm Boxes.
C. The Fire Chief shall advise the Engineer, in writ-
ing, the location of the proposed Master Fire Alarm Box.
D. It shall be the Engineerts responsibility to
prepare the necessary plans and specifications after review-
ing, with the party of the second part, the type of equipment
required in the plant of the party of the second part. The
Engineer shall supervise the installation.
E. The party of the second part agrees to purchase and
install, at its own expense, all equipment necessary to con-
nect into the existing City Fire Alarm Circuit. The City
shall be given title to the Master Fire Alarm Box and all
necessary wire, pole lines, terminal boxes, pedestals, etc.
required to connect from the Master Box to the Fire Alarm
System.
F. The party of the second part shall pay the cost
of running all lines from plant to nearest Fire Alarm Cir-
cuit.
G. Only one Company shall be connected to one Master
Box.
H. It shall be the responsibility of the party of the
second part to maintain all lines between the Master Box
terminals and the terminating equipment in its plant.
II. The City agrees to maintain said Master Boxes and the
line equipment.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we have hereunto set our hands and
seals on the day and year first above mentioned.

SECTION 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict, herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
