AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 12,
THE HOL?:ENBERG ADDITION TO T_'E CITY CE LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
AND ORDERING A COPY OF THIS ORDINANCE FILED 'VuITH THE CIRCUIT
CLERK.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on October 27, 1954,
asking the City Council to ?Tacate and ab, ^ndon all of the north
and south alley in Block 12, The Hollenbera Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, starting on Cleveland Avenue,
D ro "ecting South to Harrison Avenue, as designated on the
Plat of The Hollenberg Addition, to said city now appearing,
of record in Plat Book __16_, Page 45P in the office of the
Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas; and
tihEREAS, after due notice as reouired by law, the City
Council has, at the time and place.mentioned in the notice,
heard all rersons desiring to be heard on the questinn and
has ascertained, that the said alley, hereinbefore described,
has heretofore been dedicated to public use as an alley, has
not been actively used by the public generally for a period
of at least five years subsequent to the filing of the plat;
that all of the property abutting upon said portion of said
alley to be vacated is owned by five persons and said owners
have filed frith the Council their written consent to said
abandonment and has signed the petition for said abandon-
ment, and that the public interest and welfare will not be
adversely affected by the abondonment of said alley.
Now, Therefore, Be It Ordained by the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates, and abandons all its rights, together
with the rights of the public generally in and to the
following alley in the City of Little :cock, Arkansas, des-
ignated as follows:
The North and South alley in Block 12, The
Hollenberg Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, starting on Cleveland Ave-
nue, projecting South to Harrison AvEnue,
as shown and designated on the plat of the
Hollenberw Addition to said city now appear -
ing of record in Plat Book _76_, Page 454._9
in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas.
SECTXON 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by
the City Clerk of this City shall be filed in the office of
the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, and recorded in
the deed records of said county,
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
