ORDINANCE NO. 9696
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $1,557.00 FOR
THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING FROM THE RIVERSIDE INSUR-
ANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA PART OF LOTS 4 AND 5, BLOCK
256, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, PULASKI COUNTY,
ARKANSAS, TO BE USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE RIVER
FRONT DRIVE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ThE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of
One Thousand Five Hundred Fifty -Seven 011,557.00) Dollars for
the purpose of purchasing from the Riverside Insurance Company
of America the following real property to be used in the con-
struction of the River Front Drive, to -wit:
Part of Lots 4 and 5, Block 256, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, Pulaski County, Arkansas, described as: Beginning
at a point 100 feet East of the Northwest corner of said
Block 256 and 61.3 feet South parallel with Ringo Street;
thence North a distance of 61.3 feet to the North line of
said Block 256; thence West along the North line of said
Block 256, a distance of 50 feet; thence South parallel
with Ringo Street, a distance of 42.5 feet; thence in a
Southeasterly direction to point of beginning, containing
2,595 square feet, more or less.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby
instructed to issue the City's warrant in the sum of One
Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-Seven ($1,557.00) Dollars to the
Riverside Insurance Company of America for the purpose of pur-
chasing said property, money to be paid from the Highway Con-
struction Fund.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
