AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE IMAYOR A14D THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
A LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND THE NAZARETH LITERARY
& BENEVOLENT INSTITUTION, A KENTUCKY CORPORATION, OPERATING ST.
VINCENT'S INFIRMARY IN LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, LEASING CERTAIN
PROPERTIES AT WEST IIIARKHA114I AND HAYES STREETS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Section 1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to enter into and execute a lease on
behalf of the City of Little Rock with the Nazareth Literary &
Benevolent Institution, a Kentucky corporation, operating St. Vin-
cent's Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas, whereby the property
described as follows:
Lots 5 to�12, inclusive, of the Subdivision of
the W2 of Section 6, Township 1 North, Range
12 West (Being the S}N4 N1iVg of Section 6, Town-
ship 1 North, Range 12 West, Pulaski County,
Arkansas)
will' be leased to the City of Little Rock, only for the purpose of
facilitating police and fire services. This lease may be cancelled
at will by either party.
Section 2. That all ordinances, or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed, and since it is neces-
sary for the peace and safety of the citizens of Little Rock that
said lease be executed as soon as possible so that the property
leased may be policed by officials of the City of Little Rock, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
