3 A RESOLUTION TO SET NOVEMBER 20, 2012, AS THE DATE OF
4 HEARING ON THE PETITION TO ABANDON THE NORTH /SOUTH
5 ALLEY RIGHT -OF -WAY LOCATED WITHIN THE NORTH HALF OF
6 BLOCK 8, POPE'S ADDITION, AND THE EAST/WEST ALLEY RIGHT -
7 OF -WAY LOCATED WITHIN THE EAST HALF OF BLOCK 8, POPE'S
8 ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Clerk requesting that the Board of Directors
12 vacate and abandon the north /south alley right -of -way located within the north half of Block 8, Pope's
13 Addition, and the east/west alley right -of -way located within the east half of Block 8, Pope's Addition to
14 the City of Little Rock, pursuant to its general police power authority under Ark. Code Ann. § 14 -54 -104;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The hearing on the ordinance to abandon the above - mentioned right -of -way shall be held
18 at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock in the Board Room of City Hall at six
19 o'clock on the 20th day of November, 2012.
20 Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing in the manner prescribed
21 by law by publication once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski
22 County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation in the City of Little Rock.
