4 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE RENEWAL OF THE EXISTING
5 CONTRACT WITH ASSOCIATES CLOSING & TITLE, DB /A
6 ASSOCIATES GOVERNMENT SERVICES, LLC, FOR TITLE SEARCH
7 AND COMMITMENT SERVICES FOR PROPERTIES ACQUIRED BY
8 THE LAND BANK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13,368, the Board of Directors authorized the City Manager
11 to negotiate a contract with Associates Closing & Title, d /b /a Associates Government Services, LLC, to
12 conduct title searches and issue title commitments for the procurement of property acquisitions by the
13 Land Bank.

WHEREAS, the City Manager subsequently executed a one (1) -year contract for title services with
Associates Closing & Title, d /b /a Associates Government Services, LLC, on November 17, 2011.
WHEREAS, the contract for title services included an option to renew the contract for title services
for one (1) year upon approval by the Little Rock City Board of Directors.
WHEREAS, City Staff would like to exercise the contractual option to extend the contract for title
services with Associates & Title, d/b /a Associates Government Services, LLC, until October 30, 2013.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the renewal of the contract for title services with
Associates Closing & Title, d /b /a Associate Government Services, LLC, until October 30, 2013.
Section 2. Funding approved in the 2006, 2007 and 2012 Consolidated Plans for this purpose.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect a if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
ordinance.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with
the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
