ORDINANCE NO. 960
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET
IMPROVEPENT DISTRICT NO. 603
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more than two
thirds in assessed value of the real property located within the
territory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying that an
improvement district be established for the purposes hereinafter set
out; and
AREAS, after due notice as required by law, the CiU, Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desirinb
to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed by more
than two thirds in assessed value of the owners of real property
within said territory; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement district
embracing the following property in the City of Little Rock., Arkansas,
to -wit:
Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, of Blocks 13
and 20, and Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, of
Blocks 14 and 19, in Pope's Addition to
the City of Little Rock;
for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering, and paving,
in such a manner and. with such materials as the commissioners to be
elected for the said improvement district shall deem to be for the
best interests of said district, the following part of the following
street in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
FERRY STREET from the south property
line of East Third Street to the north
property line of East Capitol Avenue;
and that the cost thereof be assessed and,.charged upon the real
property above described; provided, that the liability of each lot
or tract of land shall be limited to its assessed benefits.
Said district shall be known as Street Improvement District
No . 603 of LittleRock, Arkansas, and Jim S. Porter, Mrs. Hazel
Wilson Burr, and Louise S. Porter are hereby named commissioners, who
shall compose the Board of Improvement for said District.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
