AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET I2PROVE-
MENT DISTRICT NO. 609 , OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be more than two - thirds in
value as shown by the last county assessment of the property
located within the territory hereinafter described have filed a
petition praying that an improvement district be established for the
purpose hereafter set out;and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desiring
to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed by
more than two - thirds in value, as shown by the last county assess-
ment, of the owners of real property situated within said territory:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement district
embracing the following property in the City of Little Rock:
Lots One (1) to Thirteen (13), inclusive, Block
One (1), Orlando Heights Addition to Little Rock,
Arkansas, and part of Lot Fifteen (15) of Howard
Adams and R. D. Plunkett Subdivision of the West
Half (W 1/2) Northwest Fractional Quarter (NW Frl
1/4), Section Six (6), Township One North (T 1N),
Range Twelve West (R 12W), more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning 10 feet north of, and 15 feet west of
the southeast corner of Lot 15; thence north parallel
to the east line of Lot 15 for 140 feet; thence
west parallel to the south line of Lot 15 for 710.58
feet to the west line of Lot 15; thence south for
140 feet; thence east parallel to south line for
709.5 feet to the point of beginning,
for the purpose of grading, draining and hard - surfacing in the manner
and of the materials that the Commissioners for the said District, to
be hereinafter appointed, shall deem for the best interest of the
District, the following described street:
"Bu Street from the east line of Hayes Street
to the west line of Pierce Street.
Said District shall be known as Street Improvement District
Number 609 of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Harold T. Duncan ,
Walter P. Lamb and N. Gene Babrick ,
are hereby named Commissioners, who shall compose the Board of
Improvement for said District.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
