ORDINANCE No. 9987
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET IYPROYEI M DISTRICT
No. 6o6 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more than two - thirds
__, ,sv,seseed value of the real property, located within the terri
hereinafter described have filed a petition praying that an improvement
district be established for the purposse hereinafter set out; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as .required by law, the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desiring to be
heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed by more than
two- thirds in assessed value of the owners of real property within said
territory:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the Gity of
Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. There is hereby established an improvement district
embracing the following property in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
to -wit:
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, in Block 10;
Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, in Block 11;
Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, in Block 22;
All of Block 23
Lots 1, 2, 3, 12, 13, and 14, in Block 24;
Lots 1, 2, 3, 12, 13, and 14, in Block 25;
All of Block 26;
Lots 6 to 10, inclusive, in Block 27;
All in Bateman's Subdivision of Cherry & Cox Addition
to the City of Little Rock;
Lots 4 to 9, inclusive, in Block 21;
Lots 4, 5, and 6, in Block 22;
Lots 1, 2, and 3, in Block 27;
Lots 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, and 10, in Block 28;
All in Cherry & Cox Addition to the City of Little Rock;
for the purpose of improving and paving, in such manner and with such
materials as the commissioners to be appointed for said improvement district
shall determine to be for the best interest of the district, the following
parts of the following streets in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
West 19th Street from Filmore Street to Grant Street;
Buchanan Street from West 20th Street to West 17th Street;
Grant Street from West 20th Street to West 18th Street;
and that the cost theredf, over and above any aid received from any agency
of the federal or city government, be assessed and charged upon the real
property above described.
Said district shall be known as Street Improvement District No. 606,
and L. R. Finnegan, Robert H. Gladden, and W. P, Looney, are hereby named
commissioners, who shall compose the Board of Improvement for said district.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force tsama
from and after is passage.
