600 ACRES OF LAND SITUATED IN SECTIONS 1 AND 12, TOWN-
SHIP 1 NORTH, RANGE 13 WEST AND IN SECTION 6, TOWNSHIP
1 NORTH, RANGE 12 WEST, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, TO
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, LYING WEST OF THE CITY AND
CONTIGUOUS THERETO, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, upon the petition of a majority of the property
owners and a majority of the acreage in the area affected, as
required by law, and after due notice of hearing on said peti-
tion for the time and in the manner prescribed by law, the
County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, did on the 12th day
of October, 1955, enter an order annexing approximately 600
acres of land situated in Sections 1 and 12, Township 1 North,
Range 13 West, and in Section 6, Township 1 North, Range 12
West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, more than thirty (30) days have expired within
which any protestant could institute proceedings in the Circuit
Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas to prevent said annexation,
and there have appeared no protestants to this annexation; and
WHEREAS, said above described lands are contiguous to and
adjoin the City of Little Rock on the West boundary of said City,
and have a large amount of improvements placed thereon at the
present time.
NOW, THEREI'ORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the following described property, to -wit:
Beginning at the NW corner of the S; SW4 Section 6, Town-
ship 1 North, Range 12 West, which point is the intersec-
tion of the center lines of West Eighth and_ Mayes Streets;
thence run East along the center line 6f ___West Eighth Street
to its intersection with the center line of South Taylor;
thence run South along the center line of South Taylor Street
to its intersection with the center line of West Tenth Street;.
thence run East along the center line of West Tenth Street to
its intersection with the center line of Fair Park Boulevard;
thence run South along the center line of Fair Park Boulevard
to its intersection with the center line of West Twelfth
Street; thence run West along the center line of West Twelfth
Street to its intersection with'the East line of South Filmore
Street if extended Northerly; thence run North to the North
line of West Twelfth Street; thence run West along the North
line of West Twelfth Street to the West line of South Hayes
Street; thence run South along the West line of South Hayes
Street to the South line of West Twentieth Street if extended

Westerly; thence run East to the East line of Section 12,
T -1 -N R- 13 = ^d• thence run South along said East line to the
SE corner NE-4 SE4, Section 12, T -1 -N, R -13 -W; thence run
West along the South line of said SE4 Section 12, T -1 -N,
R -13 -W, to the SW corner thereof; thence run North along the
West line of said NE-1 SE4 and its extension Northward to the
intersection with the South line of Boyle Park Road; thence
run Westerly and Southerly along the South line of Boyle
Park Road to the NE corner of the SW,4, Section 12, T -1 -N,
R -13 -W; thence run South along the East line of said Sw., to
the SE corner thereof; thence run West along the South line
of said SW4 to the SW corner of the SE4 SW4 Section 12,.
T-1 -N ,� R -13 -W; said point also being the NE corner of the
W2 NW4 Section 13, T -1 -N, R -13 -14; thence run South along
the East line of said W2 to the SE corner thereof; thence
run West along the South line of said W2 NW4 to the SW corner
thereof; thence run North along the .est line of Section 13,
T -1 -N, R -13 -W, to the NW corner thereof, said point also
being the SW corner of Section 12, T -1 -N, R -13 -W; thence run
North along the West line of said Section 12 to the NW corner
of the SW4 thereof; thence run East along the North line of
said SW4 to the intersection with the West line of Clary
Street if extended Southerly; thence run North along the West
line of Clary Street to a point 20 feet West of the NW corner
of the NE4, Section 12, T -1 -N, R -13 -W; thence run East 20
feet to the NW corner of the said NE4, which point is also
the SW corner of the S2 SE4, Section 1, T -1 -N, R-13-W; thence
run North along the West line of said Si SE4 to the NW corner
thereof; thence run East along the North line of said 54 SE4
to the SW corner of the NE4 SE-4, Section 1, T -1 -N, R -13 -W;
thence run North along the West line of said NE4 SE4 to the
NW corner thereof; thence run East along the North line of
said NE'-. SE4 to the NE corner thereof; which point is also a
point on the West line of Section 6, T -1 -N, R -12 -W; thence
run South along the West line of said Section 6 to the NW
corner of the S2 SW4, Section 6, T -1 -N, R -12 -W, said point
being the point of beginning, containing 600 acres more or
less,
be and the same is hereby accepted as annexed and made a part of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; that said territory shall
henceforth be assigned and attached to the Fourth Ward of said
City; and that the residents therein shall 'henceforth be consid-
ered as citizens of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
