AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, OF ALL OF PINEWOOD HILLS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, upon the petition of a majority of the owners of the land and a
majority of the acreage in the area affected, as required by law, and after due
notice of hearing on said petition for the time and in the manner prescribed by
law, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, did on the 25th day of April,
1955, enter an order annexing the following described property situated in
Pulaski County, Arkansas, to -wit:
All of Pine Wood Hills Addition to the City of Little Rock, more particu-
larly described as the North portion of the NW4 SE4 Section 36, Township
2 North, Range 13 West, being Lots 1 to 20, and bounded on the North by
the City limits and on the South by the S line of the Evergreen Road,
( "K" Street), on the West by the West line of Hughes Street, and on the
East by the City limits,
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, more than thirty (30) days have expired within which any protes-
tant could institute proceedings in the Circuit Court of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, to prevent said annexation, and there have appeared no protestants to
this annexation; and
WHEREAS, said above described lands are contiguous to and adjoin the City
of Little Rock, being bounded on the North by the City limits, on the South by
the S line of the Evergreen Road, ( "K" Street), on the West by the West line of
Hughes Street, and on the East by the City limits, and will have a large amount
of improvements placed thereon in the immediate future.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the following described property, to -wit:
All of Pine Wood Hills Addition to the City of Little Rock, more particu-
larly described as the North portion of the N[ SE Section 36, Township
2 North, Range 13 West, being Lots 1 to 20, and bounded on the North by
the City limits and on the South by the S line of the Evergreen Road,
( "K" Street), on the West by the West line of Hughes Street and on the
east by the City limits,
be and the same is hereby accepted as annexed and made a part of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas; that said territory shall henceforth be assigned and
attached to the Fifth Ward of said City; and that the residents therein shall

henceforth be considered as citizens of the City of Little Nock, Arkansas.
