AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET
IN PROVBIKBNT DISTRICT NO. 607 OF
LITTLR ROCK, ARKANSAS.

WEEMS, parties claiming to be the owners of more than two
thirds in assessed value of the real property located within the
territory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying that
an improvement district be established for the purposes hereinafter
set out; and
WHERRAS, after due notice as required by law, the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desiring
to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed by
'more than two thirds in assessed value of the owners of real property
within said territory; and
WHEREAS, an ordinance pstAbliAhing the district was duly passed
on December 19, 1955, and was published in the Arkansas Democrat on
December 23, 1955, but in the last call of the description of the
property in Hollenberg Addition the call should have been "the South
half of Lots 3 and 8 of Blocks 14 and 15" but because of a typographical
error this call appeared as "the South half of Lots 3 to 8 of Blocks 14
and 15," and under the statute, since the description in the ordinance
does not coincide with the description in the petition, the ordinance
and the publication are invalid, so that it becomes necessary to re-
enact the ordinance establishing the district; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas:
Section 1. There is hereby established an improvement district
embracing the following property in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
to -wit:
Lots 4 to 92 inclusive, of Blocks 2, 3 and 4;
Lots 12 2, 3, and Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, of Block 5;
Lots 1, 2, 3, 10, 11 and 12 of Blocks 6 and 7;
Lots 6 to 10, inclusive, of Block 12;
Lots 4 to 9, inclusive, of Block 13;
Lots 4 to 7 inclusive, and the South half of
Lots 3 and 6 of Blocks 14 and 15;
All in Hollenberg Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas;
Lots 4, 5 and 6, and South half of Lot 3 of
Henry V. Thompson's Resubdivision of Lots
1- 2- 3- 10 -11 -12 of Block 13 of Mountain Park
Land Company Subdivision of Block 13 of Hollenberg
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
Lots 1 to 5, inclusive, and Lots 16 to 200 inclusive,
of Blocks 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7;
Lots 1 to 5, inclusive, of Block 8;
All in Lincoln ?arks- ,4ddti ®n to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas;
All that part of the SWj of Section 31, Township
2 North, Range 12 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, lying
South of "R" Street, north of "H" Street, east of
Hayes Street and west of Fillmore Street;
for the purpose of paving, in such a manner and with such materials
as the commissioners to be elected for the said improvement district
shall deem to be for the best interest of said district, the following
parts of the following streets in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
t o -wit:
"H" Street from the east line of Hayes Street
to the west line of Tyler Street;
"K" Street from the east line of Fillmore Street
to the west line of Tyler Street;
Fillmore Street from the south line of "R" Street
to the north line of "H" Street;
and that the cost thereof, over and above any aid received from any
agency of the federal or city government, be assessed and charged
upon the real property above described, provided the liability of
each lot or tract of land shall be limited to its assessed benefits.
Said district shall be known as "Street Improvement District
No. 607 of Little Rock, Arkansas," and John L. Lipsmeyer, Pat
Huddleston and Peyton E. Rice are hereby named commissioners, who
shall compose the Board of Improvement for said District.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
