AN ORDIi�7AJ10E ASSESSING THE BENEFITS TO
BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE
SEM AL LOTS, BLOCKS AND PARCELS OF LAND
WITHIN STREET IMPROV3MT DISTRICT N0.606
OF 03 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARW',SAS-
WHEREAS, more than two- thirds in value of the property holders
owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in
Street Improvement District No. 606 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
organized for the purpose of improving and paving West 19th Street from
Filmore Street to Grant Street; Buchanan Street from West 20th Street
to West 17th Street; and Grant Street from West 20th Street to West 18th
Street, as therein set out have petitioned the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the construction of said improvement,
and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property of
said district according to the benefits received; and
WA&REAS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot and
parcel of real property situated in said district equdls or exceeds the
local assessment thereof; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $36,000.00;
NOW, THER ME, BE IT ORILt BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCS, ARSAHSAS;
Section 1. That the said several blocks, lots and parcels of real
property in said district be assessed according to the assessment list for
said improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the
City Clerk or as the same may frdm time to time be revised, and that
four and three - quarters per centum (14) of the assessment on each of said
blocks, lots and parcels shall be collected by the County Collector on
or before the first day of July, 1956, and four and three - quarters (41)
per cent-am of the assessment shall be collected by the County Collector
with the first installment of general taxes becoming due in 1957 and
annually thereafter with the first installment of general taxes until
the whole of said local assessment shallibe paid.
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage.
