HomeMy WebLinkAbout10006r ORDINANCE NO. 10,006 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT ENTERED INTO FOR THE REPAIRS OF A BROKEN SEWER LINE LOCATED AT GARLAND AND ARCH STREETS AS APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS FROM FUNDS OF THE RIVERFRONT DRIVE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, a sewer line was broken at Garland and Arch Streets while work was in progress constructing the Riverfront Drive, creating obnoxious odors; and nfii si -,Aft edicts f"kation be taken; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Affairs entered into a contract with The J. Lester Booker Company, 3317-23 Arch Street, Little Rock, Arkansas, to furnish the necessary labor and materials to repair said sewer on December 8, 1955; and WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, through its Board of Public Affairs, has accepted and received benefits of said con - tract;and the funds of the Highway Construction Fund are available for this purpose. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Little Rock does hereby ratify the action of the Board of Public Affairs in contract with The J. Lester Booker Company of the following account: Sales of attached statement $10185.78 Payroll salary 4,2 .59 Gas, oil and diesel fuel 2F9.21 Cost plus 20% 1,143.92 Rental equipment 4,3 1.07 Taxes & Insurance 18% of payroll $11,968.60 SECTION 2. That the sum of $11,968.60 is hereby appropriated to pay The J. Lester Booker Company as consideration of the work and materials furnished in repairing the broken sewer line at Garland and Arch Streets, Little Rock, Arkansas, the said money to be paid from the Highway Construction Fund. SECTION 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
