A1T ORDINANCE A1V'NEXING A CERTAIN PORTION OF T"
CITY OF LI'T'TLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO STREET I!vMOVr.MTT
DISTRICT N0. 606 OF THE C ;TY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of a majority -or more
in assessed value of the real property located within the territory
herinafteer described, which property is contiguous to Street Improvement
District No. 606 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, a duly created and
existing improvement district,have filed a petition praying that said
territory be annexed to said district, for the purposes hereinafter set
out; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desiring to be heard,
and has ascertained that said petition was signed by more than two - thirds
in assessed value of the owners of real property within said territory:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the following described property in the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, in Block 6;
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, in Block 7;
All in Bateman's Subdivision of Cherry & Cox Addition
to Little Rock;
Lot 1, in Block "P ";
Lots S to 12, inclusive, in Block "R ";
All in Oak Forest Gardens Annex Addition to Little Rock;
Part NMJ- NW;1 Sec. 7- IN -12W described as beg. 534 fr W
& 25 ft N of SE corner of NW4 N ►J, thence N 50 ft, W 10 ft,
N 150 ft, E 10 ft, N 100 ft, W 10 ft, N 50 ft, E 10 ft,
N 50 ft, W 176.2 ft, S 399 ft, E 175 ft to point of beg.,
also known on unrecorded plat as Lots 12 to 19, inclusive,
Block 7, Oak Forest Gardens,Addition to Little Rock;
be and the same is hereby added to and annexed to Street Imorovecrent
District No. 606 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and the Commissioners
of said district shall proceed to make the improvements petitioned for by
improving and paving the following parts of the following Street in the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
Buchanan Street from the center line of West 17th Street
to the center line of West 16th Street;
Buchanan Street from the center line of West 16th Street
to a point on Buchanan Street 425 feet north of said
center line of West 16th Street;
in such-manner and with such materials as the Commissioners of said
Street Improvement District No. 606 shall determine to be for the-best
interest of the territory hereby annexed, and the cost thereof in excess
of any aid received from any agency of the federal, state or city
government shall be assessed and charged upon the real property hereby
annexed.
Section 2. That said annexed territory shall be known as Annex No. 1
to Street Imlrovement District No. 606 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Section j. That the Commissioners of said Street Improvement Dis # -ict
No. 606 shall make the assessment of benefits for said improvements on the
lots, blocks or parcels of real property in the territory herein annexed
qDn the same basis as if said territory were included in the original distric t,
and shell file said assessments with the City Clerk.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage.
