AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES
IN ANY SPACE IN WHICH A PARKING METER HAS BEEN INSTALLED
UPON THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK WITHOUT JM�
HAVING DEPOSITED IN SUCH METER, DESIGNATED FOR SAID PARK-
ING SPACE, THE MONEY COIN OR METER CHARGE REQUIRED IN
THAT PARKING ZONE; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION
THEREOF; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION I. That the parking of motor vehicles in any space
in which a parking meter has been installed upop the streets of
the City of Little Rock is hereby prohibited without Ad� having
deposited in such meter, designated for._said parking space, the
money coin or meter charge required in -that parking zone, said svm
to be as follows: In 30- minute parking zones, the meter.- charge
shall be five (5(,%) cents for 30 minutes, or one (10 cent for 6
minutes; and in one -hour parking zones, the meter charge shall be
five (5�.) cents an hour, or one cent for 12 minutes.
SECTION 2. That any person. violating the provisions of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon con-
viction, shall be fined in the sum of One ($1.00) Dollar for each
offense.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed and, unless the provisions
of this ordinance are put into effect inunediately for the proper
policing of the streets of the City of Little Rock, the public
peace, health and safety of the citizens will be adversely af-
fected; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval.
