AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO. 610 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of a majority or
more in assessed value of the real property located within the terri-
tory hereinafter described, which is contiguous to Street Improvement
District No. 610 of Little Rock, Arkansas, a duly created and existing
improvement district, have filed a petition praying that said terri-
tory be annexed to said District for the purposes hereinafter set out;
and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desiring
to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed by more
than a majority in assessed value of the owners of real property
within said territory; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas:
SECTION 1. That the following described property in the City
of Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to -wit:
Lots 6 to 15, inclusive, of Blocks 19, 20, 21 and 22;
Lots 6 to 10, inclusive, and Lot 15 and North 20 feet
of Lot 14 of Block 23;
Tracts A and B of the Replat of Lots 11, 12, 13 and
South 10 feet of Lot 14, Block 23;
Lots 6 to 10, inclusive, of Block 24;
Lots l to 4, inclusive, of Block 25;
Lots 1 to 4, inclusive, and Lots 11 to 14, inclusive,
of Blocks 26, 27 and 30;
Lots 1 and 2 of the Replat of the Webt Half of Block 28;
Lots 11 to 14, inclusive, of Block 28;
Lots 1 to 4, inclusive, and Lots 13 to 17, inclusive,
of Block 29;
All in Lincoln Park Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas;
be and the same is hereby added to and annexed to Street Improvement
District No. 610 of Little Rock, Arkansas, and the Commissioners of
said District shall proceed to make the improvements petitioned for
by grading, draining, curbing, guttering, and paving, in such a
manner and with such materials as the Commissioners of said Street
Improvement District No. 610 shall deem to be for the best interest
of said annexed territory, the following part of the following street
in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
WOODLAWN AVENUE from the East line of Hayes
Street to the East line of Polk Street;
and that the cost thereof, over and above any aid received from any
agency of the federal or city government, be assessed and charged
upon the above described property; provided, the liability of each
lot or tract of land shall be limited to its assessed benefits.
SECTION 2. That said annexed territory shall be known as
Annex No. 1 to Street Improvement District No. 610 of Little Rock,
Arkansas.
SECTION 3. That the Commissioners of Street Improvement
District No. 610 of Little Rock, Arkansas, shall make the assessment
of benefits for said improvements on the lots, blocks or parcels of
real property in the territory herein annexed on the same basis as
if said territory were included in the original District, and shall
file said assessments with the City Clerk.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
