ORDINANCE NO. 10,207
AN ORDINANCE RELEASING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING ALL RIGHTS OF THE CITY
AND THE PUBLIC GENERALLY IN THAT PART OF NORTH RIDGEWAY STREET BETWEEN
HILL ROAD AND nH" STREET INTERSECTING BLOCKS 7 AND 8 OF THE AUTEN AND
ROSS ADDITION:_
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 18th day of June , 1956,
asking the City Council to vacate and abandon all that portion of the
street designated on the plat of the Auten and Moss Addition to said
city, now appearing of record in Deed Record Book 72, page 363, in the
office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, which lies between Blocks 7
and 8 of the Auten and Moss Addition.
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Council has, at
the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring
to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the portion of the
street hereinbefore described has heretofore been dedicated to the pub-
lic generally for a period of at least five years subsequent to the
filing of the plat; that all the owners of the property abutting upon
the portion of the street to be vacated have filed with the Council their
written consent to such abandonment; and that public interest and welfare
will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates, and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of -the
public generally, except for the rights and needs of public utilities,
including the Little Rock Municipal Waterworks, for ingress and egress
to maintain any existing utility lines, including water lines, in said
area, and except for the rights and needs of the City of Little Rock for
ingress and egress to control drainage in said area, in and to the street
designated as follows:
That part of North Ridgeway Street between Hill Road
and nH" Street, intersecting Blocks 7 and 8 of Auten
and Moss Addition to the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the City
Clerk shall be filed in the office of the recorder of the county and
recorded in the deed records of the county.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage.
