`.:tH REAS, parties claiming to be the o:Jners of a majority
or more in assessed value of the real property located within
the territory herinafter described, which property is contj.g -zous
to Street Improvement District No. 606 of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, a duly created and existing i,.,pro-rement district, have
filed a. petition praying that said territory be annexed to said
district, for the Durposes hereinafter set out; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City Council
of the City of Little lock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desir-
ing to be heard, and has ascertained that said Detition was signed
by more than two- thirds in assessed va,_ue of the owners of real
property within said territory:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLEE R. !I I A`�KAT_T� S:
Section 1. That the following described aroDerty in the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
East 150 feet of Block Q;
West 144 feet of Block 10;
Lots 7, 8, and 0, in Bloclr 11;
Lots 10, 11, and 12, in Block 22;
All in Bateman's Subdi -,rision of Cherry 8c Cox Addition
to Little Dock;
Lots 4, 5, and 6, in Block 11;
Lots 1, 2, and 3, in Block 22;
All in Cherry x Cox Addition to Little Rock;
be and the same is hereby added to and annexed to Street Improvement
District No. 606 of the City of Little Roc'r, Arkansas, and the
commissioners of said district shall proceed to make the improve-
ments petitioned for by improving and paving the following parts
of the following street in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit;
West 18th Street from Tierce Street to Duchanan Street;
Grant Street from the south line of West 18th Street
to the north line of ":Jest 17th Street;
in such manner and with such materials as the Co=issioners of said
Street Improvement District TTo. 6C6 shall determine to be for
the best interest of the territory hereby annexed, and the cost
thereof in excess of any aid received from any agency of the
federal, state or city government shall be assessed and charged
upon the real property hereby annexed.
Section 2. That ;:.aid annexed territory shall be known as
Annex No. 2 to Street Improvement District No. 6C6 of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Section 3. That the Commissioners of said Street Improvement
District No. 6C6 shall make the assessment of benefits for said
improvements on the lots, blocks or parcels of real property in
the territory herein annexed on the same basis as if said territory
were included in the original district, and shall file said assess-
ments with the City Clerk.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
